This coin, set in 18 karat gold in a size 7 ring, is one of the most iconic early Roman imperial coins, from around 10-14 C.E.  It depicts a Nile crocodile chained to a palm tree, symbolizing the defeat of Mark Antony and Cleopatra and the conquest of Egypt.  On the back is the Emperor Augustus and his son in law Agrippa.
